Our Bartow job cost $3,555, including hauling, dump fees and a full deep clean. National estimates for the cleanout alone run $1,000 to $6,000 before any cleaning, and hoarding remediation priced by the square foot runs $1 to $3 per sq ft and up.
The dump isn't the expensive part. Polk County's North Central Landfill charges $46.00 per ton for mixed solid waste (up 26% on October 1, 2025, with 5% annual increases approved for the next five years). A full mixed load weighs 1 to 1.5 tons, so disposal runs $46 to $70, roughly 8 to 10% of a typical full-load price. The rest is labor, the trailer, fuel and loading time.
